Week 20–26th of August short overview and next week plans :

1. Product development



We have been working on implementing the Database structure and Webapp UI for the IPSX Marketplace;
Provider Onboarding feature is now ready for internal testing;
The Payment Gateway is almost functional but pending API endpoints;
iOS app build #20 has been released for public beta testing, featuring improved UI and performance enhancements;
We have also prepared the IP Gateway master documentation;

2. Marketing/Community



The final episode of our IP Dictionary series was released: #Bonus Pill — What is IPSX (https://medium.ip.sx/ip-dictionary-bonus-what-is-ipsx-6daf1fb91f05).
Tokens can be earned by enrolling in the Testing Program and reporting the issues you find here following the guidelines.

Next week plans

We will focus on the first version of the API for integrating IPSX platform with the Wallet Manager database.

The development of the database structure for IPSX Marketplace is ongoing and soon will be scheduled for the internal testing phase.

Next step for the IP Gateway component is to create the documentation for main subcomponents.

1. Product development

Last week, we have been busy with the architecture for integration of IPSX tokens — Deposit and Withdrawal functions- through the Payment Gateway via API endpoints. The aim is to allow IPSX deposits through Hot Wallet and also via the current method of depositing IPSX tokens (Cold Wallet).
We have progressed with developing the database and FrontEnd for the Marketplace and integrating with the Provider Dashboard (i.e. adding filters, importing proxies list functionalities etc).

2. Marketing/Community

The enrollment in the Staking Program #2 has started on 15th of September and will last until 1st of October. The Staking Program will be active over a period of 3 months, until the 1st of January 2019. Details can be found here.
In the meantime, the other two programs are still open:
Testing Program Enrollment: info regarding the testing of the iOS app are detailed here. Extra tokens can be earned by reporting bugs and improvement suggestions. All issues should be reported here following the guidelines.

Referral Program: bringing new users to the IPSX platform can earn you extra tokens. For each referred individual that successfully registers through your referral link you will be rewarded 25 IPSX Tokens.

Next week plans

Considering the global reach of the project there are ongoing business discussions regarding tax and legal implications e.g. in relation to the Fee model.
The development is still heavily focused on finalizing the Marketplace & Provider Dashboard integration including Fee model and Proxies technical onboarding for the next period.

The time has come, this is happening: the mainnet launch of IP Exchange Platform! :heart:

Being crystal clear and transparent is the path that we have followed from the start. The launch is both the most exciting and the most difficult moment we live since the beginning of our project.

To help us manage everyone’s expectations, below we provide some platform functionalities together with useful insights for our potential users:

Platform main user functionalities:



as companies, users can share a full range of unused IPs in order to receive real-time IPSX utility tokens in a safe way;
users can provide IPs by placing offer orders and reaching a deal with IP requesters;
users can benefit from IPs by placing request orders and reaching a deal with IP providers;
users can utilize IPSX utility tokens as a unit of exchange between the actors (i.e. IP providers and IP requesters) of the IPSX ecosystem.


Internal testing and related bug fixing are ongoing and handled as set.

Back-office, reporting and accounting processes are ready to operate smoothly in a mainnet environment.

IPSX Update #3 Post-Launch


1. Platform (http://app.ip.sx/) Updates

Since the last update, the platform has received several security updates, bug fixes and a few new features for the backend part of our platform. You can check all the changes by visiting the changelog link here (https://app.ip.sx/changelog).
The iOS team is working towards bringing the iOS app to the same level of functionality and features the web app has.



2. Marketing & Community



A short series of tutorials has been released on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ltk6J7-JXM&list=PLbwN1n_gygkvcvVXXcWuwFUr1rQ1W1Jex) regarding the set up of a proxy on Windows and Mac.

New partnership! IPSX has partnered up with Kaspersky Lab. Our partnership will be based on:

- exchange of data that can support Kaspersky Lab in research and development of cyberthreat detection.

IPSX will share to Kaspersky Lab relevant information about IP addresses marked as suspicious by IPSX platform security filters. IPSX will facilitate the digital forensics to stop cybercriminals in their tracks.

- set up a whitelist/blacklist process for IP addresses to be traded on IPSX platform. Along those lines, we will improve the IP Provider Onboarding Process using the Kaspersky Lab expertise.


On 8–9th of November we attended DefCamp#9. IPSX together with Orange have hosted the main competition: Capture the Flag (https://dctf.def.camp/about).

We are happy to announce you that a new version of IPSX platform was deployed on Friday. The new version, 1.0.7, comes with multiple features that take the platform to a new level and prepare IPSX for further improvements and additional layers.

The most notable new features are:

1- Request custom offer: Users (requesters) can request custom offers based on their specific needs (traffic, duration, bandwidth and many other variables). This feature came out as a suggestion after we had multiple discussions with potential B2B customers. At this point, when the user (requester) asks for a custom offer, the providers and the admins of the platform are automatically notified. If a provider creates the custom offer, the requester will also be notified. Furthermore, based on the new issued offer, the requester is under no obligation to accept it. The next step will be to make the matching in a fully automated way, this being an intermediate step for automatic trading engine.

2- Create username: Users now have the option to define a custom user name. Also, the users will be automatically assigned a unique ID. This step is prerequisite for new features like: transfer IPSX tokens among users and the new referral program that we are working on.

3- Use the rented IP on multiple devices: Users have the possibility to add custom IP addresses to their orders. At first the user was able to use his purchased IP address only on the IP from where the order initially originated. This was a little restrictive and we implemented the possibility for the users to add custom IP addresses and also to edit them. With this new feature the users have more flexibility and what is to be noted is that same IP can now be used on multiple IP addresses simultaneously. This is a great feature for both individual and companies that provides a whole new level of flexibility.

4- Export features: Users can export part of the resources of the platform. One of the most important export feature is the proxies export. With this feature, companies that need large volumes of IP addresses can automatically assign them to their bots and other tools used for their day to day businesses.

5- Help section (https://app.ip.sx/help): A new area has been introduced in order to help the users understand and navigate the platform. The help section can be accessed through the “Help Widget” in the bottom right corner of the platform. There you will find step-by-step guides and video tutorials about how you can perform various activities on the platform. However, since the help section is in its early days and it may still not answer all your questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at support@ip.sx. What is to be noted is that all the components were upgraded with the new version. Web app, wallet manager, proxy gateways, new security features were implemented and the administrative side of the platform has new valuable features as well.

The new web site is almost ready, we are at the fine tuning stage. However, we decided to take some days of until 3rd of January, as it has been a crazy year and the team deserves some rest, so the new web site will be deployed early January.

Expect a new blog post for a 2018 yearly review and future plans for 2019 in the coming days.

Update #6 Post Launch v1.0.9 Deployed




Hello everybody! Version 1.0.9 of the IPSX platform was deployed!


Here are the main recent changes made to the IPSX platform:


Improved advanced search
With the Advanced Search feature, now users can rent proxies based on the desired minimum/maximum price in both USD and IPSX Tokens.


2. Improved statistics


Check out the Statistics section, if you want to learn about IPSX token price evolution! You can now have an overview, from one day to a quarter interval.


3. Improved reporting


When it comes to resources management we take things very seriously. We introduced several new reporting features for you to have a complete summary of the proxies rented and related traffic usage: proxy history usage, transactions history chart, proxy total duration and traffic.


Aside from the above features which you can easily notice, we also worked on the backend of the app.


Simply put, version 1.0.9 brings:


- additional account security feature by requiring secret code on any profile setting change;


- better overall improved performance — now you get a faster app query response;


- SEO fine tuning.
