The Tavares Play - Can It BeDone?

DBTB -Inspired by Roaming Wyoming's comments in my GM For a Day thread, I thought it would be interesting to see what if BFLO could seriously make a run at Johnny T Dalton Smith Flag.As it turns out, it's not THAT far out of the realm of possibility.Let's get to it... Assumptions:I'm working under the following assumptions:1) BFLO plays well and takes a couple steps forward this year, but just misses the playoffs, with something like 88-92 points.2) The team remains relatively healthy, and good but not mind-blowing performances from most of the players are the norm https://www.buffalofanstoreonline.co...lsson_Flag-184.So no one has as mind-bending season and have to be wildly overpaid, and the bottom doesn't drop out from anyone's game, so you can't sign them for a discount.3) Given Tavares close relationship with Moulson and Okposo, the proximity to his hometown of Toronto, and the possibility of playing with other talented forwards, he is willing to entertain the move and won't hold out for crazy money. So if its warranted at that point, they can extend Rino with something in the $5M range, extend McCabe (if needed), and if any of the kids perform, they can get nice raises as well.Plus, you have Mittlestadt coming up, Borgen, Fasching, Davidsson, Hagel, Pu, maybe Smith to come in as cheap - but talented - skater replacements. In short, it can be done!
