Market situation with #CL futures

Dear clients!

Offering our customers CFD trading on the front-month WTI (Light Sweet Crude Oil) futures contract that has a ticker symbol #CL, we constantly monitor the market situation. In recent weeks, prices have been extremely volatile. Thus, futures contracts for May delivery turned negative for the first time in history.

Our company has already introduced any possible measures to save client's accounts from disproportionate and unexpected losses caused by the plunge of the traded asset to almost zero, or even into negative territory. We are ready to take action again.

In case of a crash in prices of the current oil futures contract (#CL), we are going to take the following steps:

If the price drops below $3, "close only" mode will be applied. Our company also reserves the right to increase a Stop Out level for open #CL positions to 100%.

If the price plunges below $1, all trading positions will be closed.

If the price rebounds and consolidates above $3 for more than 12 consecutive hours, the possibility to open trades will be restored again.

Similar requirements can be applied to #QM oil futures contracts.

Triumph in Dortmund

16th of May Borussia Dortmund defeated in local derby Schalke 04 with the impressive score 4:0. Holland, Hazard and Guerreiro (twice) scorred.

Well, this is an important and a fantastic victory. And certainly, Borussia is an official partner of InstaForex. And yet usually we don't feature the victories of our partners in the corporate news, otherwise we would have to transform our site from a financial to a sports site!

However, we decided to make an exception for this game. The thing is that on 16th of March the last game of top European football championship was played. The European football was simply put on hold because of Covid-19 pandemia. And finally right in 2 months after this, the first game was played. Without a doubt it was more than just a game! The Bundesliga gave us the hope that football and later the other activities will come back to our lives. And we are proud that this comeback has started with the triumph in Dortmund.

Agricultural futures, futures for goods, and CFDs on stocks will not be traded on that day. The rest of the trading schedule remains unchanged.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the US for honoring and mourning the military personnel who had died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday is observed annually on the last Monday of May.
